Does anyone remember Three Wishes toiletries? As a kid, I can remember getting Three Wishes talc, bubble bath and soap as Christmas and birthday presents. I think it came in three colours (or probably fragrances is the right term!) - blue, orange and green. I think the packaging had stars on it.

I don't know what made me think of it today, but I just wondered if anyone else remembered it and who made it. Don't suppose you can still buy it though. As I recall, the smell of Three Wishes products was quite nice and quite delicate.

I would be interested to know if anyone else remembers it.

Hiyah Twinkle

Your post reminded me of some soap I had somewhere at the back of my wardrobe. Anyway, this bank holiday weekend coz the weather was so wet, I did some searching and found it - a bar of blue Three Wishes soap! Don't know what it smells like, as the smell seems to have gone, so old I suppose. But anyway, the blue Three Wishes was called Sea Breeze.

Your post got me thinking about other soaps and perfumes from the past. I remember a soap that was yellow and was called Fresh or something like that and I also remember Shield soap, which was either marbled green, pink or brown - can you still get it?

I also remember Babe perfume, which if I remember rightly you could get as a roll-on perfume and the soap was round with the word Babe embossed on it. Then there was Norman Hartnell's In Love perfume - my mum liked that. And I think there was a perfume called Black Rose.

Does anyone else remember these?

Cheers!

I definitely remember Three Wishes and I also remember Shield - I can still remember the advert for Shield, but haven't found it on YouTube, unfortunately. My favourite soap was Pears - the brown transparent oval bar - that came in a box. Very posh!

Three Wishes was quite highly perfumed as I recall, it's a shame the bar you found has lost its smell. I can't remember who made it.

Bar soap went a bit out of favour by the 80s/90s and a lot of the brands we all knew from the 70s are no longer there, or have changed their scent. Palmolive soap smells nothing like it used to, for example, and I don't know if you can still get Lux, Camay or Lifebuoy.
